letter, 12/09/1933, Mr. Lowe, Taranaki Museum, Carnegie Library to H D Skinner, Sending a greenstone hei tiki found on the old pa Moturoa and greenstone pendant found at Purangi. The first is an anonymous gift from Skinner to the Taranaki Museum, the latter intended as an exchange for a large wooden fish-hook and a stone pounder with human head.

Since you could not arrange his pay, we have paid Rollo, feeling it was an error on our part. Compliments to Rollo's character. Sorry we missed you on your recent visit, wanted to offer several adzes but have now donated them to a museum abroad.

letter, 17/03/1933, D Teviotdale to H D Skinner, Talks of what is happening at Waipapa Point, says lots of greenstone implements had been found. Mentions that Mr ferry is struggling to continue. Says that Auckland Museum seems to have kept some of the Oruarangi material meant for Otago Museum.

letter, 10/03/1933, D Teviotdale, Oruarangi Pa to H D Skinner, Says he will move on from this sit soon, and that not much has been found. The material that Teviotdale did find would be sent to Auckland Museum for inspection before being sent on to Otago Museum.

letter, 05/03/1933, D Teviotdale, Oruarangi Pa to H D Skinner, Talks of what has been happening at Oruarangi, mention a small outing to Waihi Beach. Says not much had been found but there was a large greenstone mere found by Mr Hovell.

Includes talk of many pieces including, Paua shell pieces, human and animal bone pieces, adzes, etc. Discusses colleagues such as Mr Hovell, Mr Bell, Dr Liggins and Dr Buck. Mentions that Fels asked Teviotdale to ask collectors if they were willing to sell him curios.

letter, 31/01/1933, D Teviotdale, Oruarangi Pa to H D Skinner, Talks of his finds at Oruarangi Pa and if he should send them down. Mainly discussing two tobacco boxes and bone material. Mentions that due to the ground being shallow there are many skeletons. Says that Anderson's wife forbade people from working in the Tapu.

letter, 22/01/1933, D Teviotdale, Oruarangi Pa to H D Skinner, Discusses the ongoing work at Oruarangi Pa, and the finds of others in the party. Mentions the various skeletons dug up that show European influence in their positioning. Says that working on the Tapu has caused some trouble. Teviotdale says he will not remain at that site for another three months and questions if he needs to visit Waipapa Point on the way back to Dunedin. Mentions his uneasiness at the people he is working with.

letter, 15/01/1933, D Teviotdale, Oruarangi Pa to H D Skinner, Says he has been working on the Tapu grounds all week and found a carved Nguru, a large bone point, two large chisels, 10 adzes, a number of small bone articles, and a pumice bowl. Expresses that he dislikes digging on Tapu ground, and discusses the conditions of working.

letter, 09/01/1931, David Teviotdale, Oruarangi Pa to H D Skinner, Mr Hovell has spent the last week getting around 200 items. A small broken tiki and a figure (?) being the best, there's mention of other items including a hook. Mentions of a sinker, along side a broken flute made of pumice. Mr Hovell has evidentially come to settlement with Anderson (?), who is in charge of the Wahi-Tapu. Do not know the condition Mr Hovell has in place, he's not to touch the unworked portion of the wahi-tapu but is allowed to dig out the small islands left unworked in the dug over portion. Teviotdale told Hovell that it was against Skinner and Mr Archies ideas (?). Mc Gregor gave Teviotdale a pumice bowl he found in the tapu. Dr Liggins warned against working in the tapu, but after talking with Hovell said it will be alright. Teviotdale would personally be out of the tapu grounds. Mentions North to North East side of the Pa matting found in the mud. Hovell found another piece of pumice and gave it to Teviotdale.

letter, 01/01/1933, D Teviotdale, Oruarangi Pa to H D Skinner, Teviotdale has been working steadily at site, claims Mr Hovell has attained more than 100 articles while Teviotdale has been there. Dr Liggins worked a whole week for nothing. Teviotdale has about 40 articles from his lot including a waha (?) ika, a small wooden bowl with a spout, a long bayonet shaped bone point about 10 metres long, only complete item found there so far. Mr Loyd was there, and found several things, Teviotdale has enclosed the drawings within the letter when it was sent made by Loyd. Loyd claims to have the finest collection of greenstone owned by any collector. He is the cartoonist for the Auckland Weekly, with homemade paua shell buttons on his coat! Could be a worthwhile acquaintance. Teviotdale unsure of when he will leave, Hovell is saying to wait until the place is finished. He is sending the waha ika and bowl to Dunedin, the wood is badly in need of treatment. He is also sending his finds to Auckland for Mr Archies
