letter, 27/10/1933, E P Liddell, Hallenstein Bros. Ltd to W Fels, Purchase of curio's from Mr Brown. Mr Brown will acquire more if wanted. He and friend will be in Urewera tramping in a few weeks and will look out for curios. Mr Brown looking for work at Dunedin Museum.

Mr Brown was teacher of small school in the Urewera country, Te Whaiti. Carved figures of totara, old and in good condition. Two troughs, and other items.

Discusses Mr Burnett and whalebone taiaha, Mr. Whitelock from BNZ, Alexandra and large slab of greenstone ( possible purchase?). Skinner informs Fels that he has written to Mr Newman about Fels visiting to look over his collection. Describes collection of material to be sent by Mr Drury Low of Aitutaki and notes that this is a significant list of material. Discusses work that Skinner and Teviotdale have been doing with the Riley collection. Mentions Miss Daff. See Item 41.

letter, 12/05/1933, H D Skinner to Willi Fels, C/o Hallenstein Bros. Ltd. Wanganui , Discusses collection of Mr Howard Glazebrook, Hastings and possible value, loan or purchase. Reports on Lennan's meeting with Ebett in Hastings and Ebett's collection which includes adze with two spirals from Mohaka, Hawkes Bay which would be a 'very desirable' item to obtain. Also mentions a stone flute and large amount of material found near Thames.

letter, 03/02/1933, Heke Bidois to Willi Fels, Dunedin, Describes Bay of Plenty stern post carved prior to 'excursions of the Northern raiders.' Notes cost will be 200 pounds. Notes that Mr Glibert Archey director of Auckland Museum will be inspecting the stern post.

letter, 25/11/1932, J H Burnet, 65 Nelson Street, Wanganui to Mr Fels, Regarding Maori curios described to Fels by Mr Nicholson. Notes that bone appears to have come from a cave but that local Maori say this supply is now exhausted and no items have been brought in for 8 or 9 months now. Will be pleased to show items to Mr Fels or Mr Skinner on their next visit to Wanganui.
