letter, 14/04/1954 to Roger Duff, Thanks for letter with draft circular letter. Says a constitution can be drafted and adopted at a later date if necessary. Goes on to say the costs of various items pertaining to the process will be best suited in a subscription form, and that a draft for such has been created. The following people have suggested themselves to be in the newsletter; Law and Collett, Honorary Archaeologists on our staff, Maurice Trotter, excavating lone handed a Moa-hunter site at Kartigi, H. Utley, an enthusiastic local collector who has also collected in Northern Territory, Blake Palmer, Seacliff. Newsletters are essential and an annual dig highly desirable.

Current staff member who does the work has nil qualification in anthrophony, his work is with fish, and he has current poor health. Good you have mastered Maori and Samoan. Suggest you need to undertake field work and do some collecting. Also you could undertake horary work at Otago museum for some of your time on leave.
