letter, 29/10/1935, H D Skinner to Luke Waghorn, Little Akaroa, I am writing up the carved skull box found in a cave at Sandy Bay near Little Akaroa containing a skull 2 pendants and a carved piece of wood painted red. Could you send any information about it. Judge Harvey said there were three of these boxes. We have the front of what must have been a skull box with an almost identical face fro the John White collection

Taylor, Dental Clinic, Wellington, Posting the cast of the Piltdown canine and jaw fragment for use on Taylor's thesis, which Skinner is very interested in. Also suggests contacting Buck if he becomes the next director of the Bishop Museum in hope of publishing thesis, otherwise contact Clark Wisler of the American Museum of Natural History. Also mentions he was awarded a Carnegie travelling grant, and is booked for England in mid-December.
