letter, 14/03/1934, Chief Librarian, Wellington to H D Skinner, The letter introduces a Mr A. D. McIntosh who would be visiting Dunedin and asks that he is shown the Museum Library and the Hocken collection to assist them in coordinating the libraries.

Said that he would be happy to accept pieces from Otago into the museum. Discusses the uses and appearances of many pieces from various sites around NZ. Pieces discussed include: a "cotton reel" pendant, "bird spear" points, fish hooks, moa bone, tattooing instruments, and a composite hook

letter, 25/07/1934, Mr. S. Russell, P.O. Box 64, Papeete, Tahiti to H D Skinner, Russell mentions an implement and includes a sketch of it, a digging tool from Tubuai, asks if Skinner would put an offer on it. Also said that he could not find some pieces Skinner asked after.
