letter, 08/03/1935, H.D. Skinner to Mrs.C.E.Ford, Thanking Ford for the letter received 2nd. He is showing interest in the collection of Maori material and Mauri Gum. Advises his published memoir on the Morioris of the Chatham Islands, in Bulletin No. 9 of the Bishop Museum, Honolulu which should be accessible in Auckland, for her lecture. Answers question regarding greenstone in Chatham Islands and its use by Moriori ancestors, as well his meeting with Tom Solomon on multiple occasions. Acknowledges his regular correspondence with Mr. Voyce and his work with material from the Solomon Islands being sent to the Museum.

letter, 16/08/1935, Dr Walter Kaudern, Goteborg Museum, Sweden to H D Skinner, Describes visit made by Mr Fels to their Ethnographical Museum and around town to other museums. Reports that photograph of stone pestle from the Marquesas Islands will be sent by ordinary post.

Skinner reports that they have duplicates in the Maori collection which they can send to Sweden. Examples given include a carved house slab from the Ngati Porou area, a collection of stone adzes, moa bone fragments, and number of other items. Notes items that could be sent from Goteborg in exchange - Bronze Age or early Iron Age material.

Describes Celebes material which they can offer including bark cloth and stone mallets used in beating bark cloth. Encloses list of New Zealand material which Goteborg Museum has.

letter, 09/02/1935, H D Skinner to Dr Walter Kaudern, Goteborg Museum, Sweden, Skinner writes that he has learnt a little about the Goteborg Museum from the writings of Nordenskiold who he met in California. Wishes he could visit the museum but notes it is probably not possible. Discusses exchange items: can send "a considerable amount of Maori material and also some stone implements from the Cook Islands." Skinner requests some neolithic pieces from Sweden and material from the Celebes in exchange.
