Letter, 14/11/1938, Hugh S McCully to H D Skinner, Forwarding a greenstone amulet on behalf of Mr J Irvine of Timaru, found at Georgetown, below the Horwhenua Kaike. Suggests an offer for it would be desirable. Asks that Mr Teviotdale is told of death and burial yesterday of aged Maori woman at Waitaki. Reports of wooden patu seen at the Canterbury museum, found in the Ellesmere district.

Letter, 15/12/1938, H S McCully to H D Skinner, Reports on stone dish found by Moyle, on the staff of Otago Farmers Cop. Oamaru, in a bush Gully at Geraldine. Recommends that Moyle is followed up. Reports on his own work for publication re manufacture and relationship of "Intermediate" tools to ground adzes and chisels.
