Lee Martin (On behalf of Prime Minister) to The President, Otago University Museum, Letter from the Prime Minister's Office to the Museum President outlining the donation of three works of art. 'Dish of Fruit' (Oil Painting) and 'Chioggia' (Watercolour) by Emily M. Paterson R.S.W were donated by the late artist's sister, Mrs. Harold Steevens, through the Empire Art Loan Collections Society. 'Richmond, Twilight' (Oil Painting) by Fred Foottet R.B.A was donated through the same society by a Miss A.M. Alexander. The artworks were transported from Britain to New Zealand. The letter states the artworks have arrived in Wellington and will be forwarded to the museum in Dunedin immediately, and suggests the recipient make a direct acknowledgement to the donors.
