Burnt shark tooth pendant, broken at the root and along the sides of tooth. Sides of the root and the proximal end have been squared off. Two drill marks indicating broken suspension holes. Naturally-occurring serrations along sides of tooth.
Complete tangiwai (bowenite) pendant. Adze shape. There is a white inclusion up the centre of the front. There is a white semi-circular inclusion on the proper left. There is a suspension hole at the proximal end, drilled from the front. There is minor differentiation of the butt and blade, with the sides tapering towards the proximal end. There is a bevel continuous with the blade. The cutting edge is curved and blunt.
Pounamu/Nephrite hei tiki. Light green kahurangi variety, West Coast source. Unusual small hei tiki with very straight sides. Head turned to left. Top of head has scarf which runs side to side (which may be a koukou/top knot) and a suspension hole in centre drilled from both sides. Upper middle lip on dominant face extends unevenly to edge. Red sealing wax in eyes. Hands rest on rear of thighs, no legs indicated and flat on rear. Plaited harakeke cord with loop at one end through which the other passes and connects to bone toggle attached.
Complete tattoo chisel, of comb variety. Hafting end has two prongs. Cutting edge has five sharp teeth.
Broken tattoo chisel, of comb variety, fragment from cutting edge not present. Deep notch on either side of hafting end, as well as at the end, forming two prongs on either side of hafting end. There are small teeth along the cutting edge, fragment from proper right side broken off.
Broken comb made of bird bone, proximal portion and one fragment of a prong remaining. Proximal portion has notches running down each side edge. Surface is ground smooth. Cross section is half-circular.
Complete tattoo chisel. Sides of hafting end have one large notch per side, with a smaller internal notch. The end of the hafting end has two prongs. The cutting edge is curved with small sharp teeth.
Broken tattoo chisel, hafting end remaining. Hafting end is notched on either side, forming a large shoulder. Smaller notches on the poll end. One tooth remaining on cutting edge.
Complete pounamu/nephrite pendant. Dark green and black kawakawa variety. Surface is ground on front and back. Edges are flattened and ground and bruised. Squared across proximal end, shoulders and sides rounded and tapering to distal end. Fairly straight perforation drilled from both sides in centre of proximal end, flared entry points.
Complete pounamu/nephrite pendant. Dark green, light brown, and black kawakawa variety. Oval-shaped with flattened, ground sides and edges. Off-centre perforation drilled both sides of proximal end.
Complete dark green pounamu pendant. Surface is ground. Tapers to a suspension knob at the proximal end, with a groove around the base of the knob. Straight and flattened on one side edge. Distal end is a very oblique curve. One side has a large triangular bevel demarcated by a line
Complete pounamu pendant. Dark green and black. Ground smooth. Suspension knob at the proximal end. Five projections, two on each side edge and one at the distal end. Side projections have three or four notches each. Side edges are smooth and concave between the projections.
