Broken adze (poll broken) Cross-section is rectangular. Surface is ground. Undifferentiated between butt and blade. Bevel demarcated by line. Cutting edge sharp and straight. Chipped on front and back on proper right side of cutting edge.

Complete adze Blade is trapezoidal or quadrangular with back narrower than front. Butt is oval. The surface of the front is ground, with bruising at the poll end. The surface of the back is bruised down to the chin, and the bevel is ground. The butt has major differentiation, demarcated by two ridges at shoulder. The bevel is demarcated by a prominent chin, and is curved at the cutting edge. The cutting edge is round, smooth and sharp. There are 3 joints on the blade and shoulder where the adze has been glued.

Incomplete adze. Oval/rectangular. Bruised with minor flaking. Butt not present. Bevel not present. Cutting edge blunt, rounded and chipped.

Incomplete adze. Oval at break, lenticular at blade. Bruised and flaked. Butt not present. Bevel not present. Cutting edge rough, chipped and slightly rounded.

Incomplete adze. Asymmetrical. Bruised and flaked. Butt not present. Bevel demarcated by faint curved ridge. Cutting edge blunt, straight and chipped.

Incomplete adze. Oval at break, lenticular at blade. Bruised and flaked, some areas ground. Butt not present. Bevel demarcated by faint line. Cutting edge slightly rounded, moderately sharp and heavily chipped.

Adze roughout. Dark grey stone. Asymmetrical quadrangular cross-section. The surface is flaked. There is no distinction between the butt and the blade, although the front of the stone slopes down towards the poll. The bevel is roughly indicated with flake scars. The cutting edge is irregular. There is a layer of lighter grey/red stone on the back with "4" written on it. There are patches of dried adhesive on the back, and two areas of the remnant of paper that had been adhered to the surface.

Complete adze. Trapezoidal with back narrower than front. Ground with flaking down sides and on back Butt has minor differentiation; right side proper has been reduced above shoulder. Bevel flaked away. Cutting edge is smooth, sharp and slightly rounded with minor chipping.

Complete adze. Quadrangular. Surface is bruised and flaked Butt has minor differentiation - sides are tapered toward poll. Bevel demarcated by very faint ridge. Cutting edge is straight, sharp and heavily chipped.
