Silcrete core that is light grey and light brown in colour. There is no cortex present.

Complete adze. Grey stone. Cross-section is half-circular. Surface is bruised. Large flake missing from the back. Minor differentiation between the butt and blade with the sides slightly tapered towards the poll. Bevel is demarcated by a change of surface. Cutting edge is curved and sharp. "Papanui Inlet" inscription.

Complete adze. Cross section is rectangular. Surface of blade is ground, surface of butt is bruised. Major differentiation between butt and blade, sides reduced. Concaved area on back of butt. Bevel is continuous with blade. Cutting edge is sharp and straight.
