Complete adze. Stone. Dark grey. Cross-section of butt is triangular with apex to front, cross-section of blade is almost lenticular, with large concave depression in back. Surface is partially ground down front and on bevel, with large flake scars on back, butt, and around sides on front. Major differentiation between butt and blade, sides tapers towards poll, and front reduces after raised shoulder. "Waitaki" written on front and on sticker on back.

Complete adze. Stone. Black, light grey. Cross-section of butt is oval, cross-section is blade is rectangular. Surface of blade is ground, surface of butt is bruised, with flaking on poll. Major differentiation between butt and blade, sides reduced forming shoulder. Large chip on proper right of shoulder. Bevel is continuous with blade, cutting edge is sharp and curved. "Waitaki" written on back.

Major differentiation between the butt and the blade, blade reduces into the butt on the front and sides creating a clear shoulder. The bevel is curved and continuous with the blade. The cutting edge appears straight and sharp (half has been chipped away).

Broken adze (butt remaining). Pounamu. Light green, mid green. Cross-section is rectangular. Surface is bruised, ground down front. Undifferentiated between butt and blade, sides taper towards poll. Poll is reduced on proper right side. Bevel is continuous with blade, cutting edge is blunt and straight.

Broken slate knife, proximal end remaining. One portion of edge is blunt and has a slight bevel on both surfaces. Surface is ground on both sides. Haft end is flat. Broken in four pieces and glued back together.

Complete slate knife. Surface is both ground and bruised on both sides. Cutting edge is sharp and curved. Haft end is flat.
