Complete adze. Basalt. Black. Cross-section of blade is rectangular, cross-section of butt is semi-circular, back flattened. Surface of front blade (and top half of sides) and lower back blade ground, back is flaked and bruised, front butt is bruised, poll is flaked. Major differentiation between butt and blade, front and sides reduced (proper right side reduced slightly more). Bevel is continuous with blade, cutting edge is sharp and curved.

Broken tatā (canoe bailer), large fragment from proper right side missing. Dark brown totara. The handle extends from the back end of the bailer to the mid-front in a continuous curve. There is a perforation where the handle meets the back end. There are numerous in the surface of the wood.
