Complete Asymmetrical blade and butt cross-section. Front of blade is bruised with distinct flake scars at poll and cutting edge portion. Back of blade is also bruised with flake scars on the left side. No differentiation between blade and butt. Poll portion is only slightly narrower than the rest of blade. Bevel is not present on blade. Cutting edge is jagged and blunt.

Butt only. Projections at either side perforation - asymmetric and distal end serrated around outside. Skinner comments that shape of butt protuberances suggest animal form. Handle - oval in cross section with perforate form both front and back. Scratched Patu onewa fragment, butt and part of handle present. Drill perforation, no tau. Butt triangular with serrated edges. Handle split lengthwise.
