Fragment "A" of kete woven from harakeke (flax) using fine whenu (strands). Kaupapa (body) woven using takirua pattern. Sewn together along one edge with muka (flax fibre) cord twined to tapiki (finish) another edge. Fragment "B" of kete woven from harakeke (flax) using fine whenu (strands). Kaupapa (body) woven using takirua pattern. Muka (flax fibre) cord twined to tapiki (finish) opening with remaining whenu untrimmed as a decorative element. Fragments of muka cord made using the miro (rolling) technique remain.

Piece of whale baleen found housed in a kete pingao. Appears unworked with natural delamination.

Multiple fragments of unworked bird skin and attached brown to black feathers. Found in a shelter at the Talla burn and Clutha river junction with a wooden box containing Huia and Kaka feathers.

Fragments of fine kete woven using the takitoru pattern. The upper edge of the largest fragment features remnants of unique woven triangles as a decorative element below a finely woven tapiki (finish) featuring a three ply whiri (braid) looped as possible handles. Other fragments contain remnants of muka cord

Piece of kōkōwai wrapped in three layers of kete and kelp. Kōkōwai rests on a bed of feathers and soft fibre and is imprinted with fibre remnants of inner kete. Kete is plaited in over-one, under-one twill, with narrow strands of unscraped plant material. Middle layer is a piece of rigid kelp. Outer layer is a larger, more complete woven piece of kete, curled at the edges and quite rigid, plaited around one edge.

complete Oval to plano convex, slightly more flattened back. Circular butt. The cutting edge and bevel are ground, remainder of adze bruised. Minor differentiation between the butt and the blade, reduced front and sides from blade to butt. The butt tapers towards the pole (so that the butt is longer on the back than the front). The bevel is indistinguishable from the blade. Bevel is flat, cutting edge is curved and sharp but chipped.
