Complete adze. Cross-section is asymmetrical. Surface is mostly ground on front, with partial bruising. Mostly bruised on back with some ground areas towards butt. Undifferentiated between butt and blade, sides taper towards poll, tapers more heavily on proper left side. Bevel is continuous with blade, cutting edge is sharp and curved, with chipping along cutting edge. Fragment missing from proper left cutting edge. "Kaikoura." written on front and back.

Complete adze. Cross-section is trapezoidal, with back narrower than front. Mostly ground on front and back, with some flaking scars on surface, bruised on sides. Undifferentiated between butt and blade, sides taper towards poll. Bevel is demarcated by a line, cutting edge is sharp and mostly straight, with two chips along cutting edge. "Kaikoura Peninsula" written on front.
