This Patu is fragmented, it is just a little part of the handle. At the bottom appear to have Reke markings. This fragment is very weathered.

Broken pounamu pendant. Dark green and silver, high translucency. Oval cross section. Surface is ground and polished, except at the proximal end, which has been crudely cut and reworked on both side edges. Small drill marks at the proximal edge indicating a broken out suspension hole. Tapers to a point at the distal end.

Complete but unfinished flute. Ends are roughly finished, with some chipping at one end. There are four large longitudinal cracks, some that have been repaired with adhesive. There is one partial drill mark on the side of the un-chipped end.

Back slightly concave. Sides of blade straight. Proximal (blade) edge rounded and damaged. Shoulders slight. Flattened in cross section. Butt - flattened with left side rounded projection and right side squared projection. Cortex of bone on back. complete, everything in place, no Tau.This Patu is in a relatively good condition, it is although, a bit weathered. The underside is covered with holes due to the natural structure of the bone. There is no hole for the Tau. The top of the blade is slightly chipped.

Broken flute, fragment missing from upper half. There is one complete perforation and one partial perforation at the broken edge.

Complete roughout. Cross-section is semi-circular, with front flattened. Surface is flaked and bruised.

Broken flute, one end remaining. There are three perforations.

Complete bone point, manufactured from hollow bone. Distal end sharpened to a fine point. Epiphysis remains at the proximal end.

Complete flute, chipped on one end. Visible repairs where previously broken. There are three perforations along the top of the flute. On one side there is a small section of very faint striations in a chevron pattern.
