Unfinished adze. Greenstone. Quadrangular cross-section. The surface is ground and flaked. The sides of the blade curve to the proper left at the butt. The bevel is demarcated by an oblique line. The cutting edge is straight and sharp. Green Hills written on back.

Broken adze (butt remaining). Stone. Dark grey, light grey. Cross-section is rectangular, though one side slightly angled. Surface on front and back mostly ground, bruised on sides, some flaking. On butt, sides taper towards poll. Back Beach [last word illegible] written on front.

Complete adze. Stone. Black. Cross-section is trapezoidal, with back narrower than front. Surfaces of back and sides are ground with some bruising, surface of front is bruised and flaked. Major differentiation between butt and blade, front reduced forming shoulder. Bevel is demarcated by a line, chipped. Cutting edge is sharp and curved, very chipped. Back Beach written on front.

Broken adze (butt and upper blade remaining). Grey, dark grey, dark red. Cross-section is oval. Surface is bruised, area on back of butt is coloured red. Minor differentiation between butt and blade, small ridge at shoulder. Bevel and cutting edge not present. Back Beach written on front.
