Adze roughout. Black stone. Cross-section is assymetrical. Surface is flaked. Major differentiation between the butt and blade; butt is reduced on proper right side. Bevel is demarcated by an assymetrical line and change in color. Cutting edge is straight and flaked. "Papanui Inlet" inscription.
Adze roughtout. Grey stone. Cross-section is rectangular. Surface is bruised and flaked. Major differentiation between the butt and blade; sides are tapered towards the poll. There is no obvious bevel. Cutting edge is not present. "Papanui Inlet" inscription
