Complete adze. Basalt. Black and light grey. Cross-section of lower blade is semi-circular, back flattened, becoming triangular towards upper blade with apex to front. Surface of blade is mostly ground, with some flaking, and bruising on butt. Major differentiation between butt and blade, front heavily reduced, small butt. Bevel is continuous with blade. Cutting edge is sharp and curved. Pounawea Isd. written on front.
Broken roughout. Basalt. Black. Cross-section is triangular with apex to front. Surface is flaked. Pounawea Isd written on apex.
Complete unfinished adze. Lenticular cross-section with the front flattened. The surface is mostly ground with flaking on the sides and poll. There is no distinction between the butt and the blade. The sides of the blade taper in from the cutting edge to the poll. The bevel is continuous with the blade but demarcated by a flake scar on the proper right. The cutting edge is straight and sharp.
Complete adze. Cross-section is asymmetrical. Surface is mostly flaked, ground on blade. No differentiation between butt and blade. Bevel is continuous with blade, blade is sharp and straight.
Complete unfinished adze. Asymmetrical triangular cross-section. The surface is ground, bruised and flaked. There is no distinction between the butt and the blade. The width of the blade is uniform from the cutting edge to the poll. The bevel is smooth and continuous with the blade. The cutting edge is straight and sharp.
Large flake. Stone. Dark grey. Cross-section is roughly triangular. Surface is flaked. Pounawea written on one side.
