Broken silcrete blade, distal portion remaining. Light brown and light yellow in colour. Bifacial retouch on the left lateral margin and the right lateral margin, unifacial retouch at the distal end on the dorsal side.
Broken and split silcrete blade, distal end and left lateral margin remaining. White and light grey in colour. Weathering at the termination and on the left lateral margin. Unifacial retouch on left lateral margin.
Complete silcrete blade that is light grey and light brown in colour.
Broken silcrete blade that has the proximal portion remaining. It is mid brown and light grey in colour. There is a section of the cortex remaining on the striking platform. There is flaking of the dorsal surface.
Complete silcrete blade that is dark brown and dark grey in colour. There is some flaking on the dorsal and ventral surface.
Broken needle, shaft and tip remaining. Distal end is sharp. Broken at sawn eye at proximal end, the lower groove visible on both sides.
Mahi whakairo
Complete wooden adze haft. Large crack on handle. Knob at the butt of the handle. Platform for attachment of adze previously had raised sides, now broken off and flat.
Adze roughout. Brown stone. Cross-section is trapezoidal on the blade and triangular on the butt. Surface is flaked with some grounding on the sides. No differentiation between butt and blade; sides taper toward poll. Bevel is demarcated by flake scars. Cutting edge is a straight flat edge.
Adze roughout. Dark grey stone. Cross-section is asymmetrical. Surface is flaked with some grounding on the back. Sides are slightly reduced where the butt meets the blade. Bevel is demarcated by a change in surface from flake scars to grounding. Cutting edge is rounded but unfinished.
Adze roughout. Dark grey stone. Cross-section is triangular. Surface is flaked. Front and sides are slightly reduced on the butt. Bevel is unfinished. Cutting edge is curved but unfinished.
Broken silcrete blade, medial portion remaining. Mid grey and mid red in colour.
Light brown and mid brown Flake. Cortex present on dorsal surface. Unifacial retouch on dorsal surface.
