Complete adze. Stone. Mid grey. Cross-section is roughly rectangular. Surface is ground on front and back lower blade, heavily flaked on upper blade and butt. Minor differentiation between butt and blade, back reduced. Bevel is continuous with blade, cutting edge is sharp and curved, chipped."Waitaki" written on front. Sticker on front reads "Waitaki".

Complete adze. Asymmetrical at poll, plano-convex with front flattened at back. Surface is ground with heavy flaking and bruising down right side proper and across back Butt has minor differentiation, sides and front have been reduced. Bevel is demarcated by lines running from each corner curved up to an apex in the centre of the blade. Cutting edge is smooth, sharp and slightly rounded with minor chipping.

Porcellanite core. Cortex present on three sides. From the orientation of the accession number, the cortex is on the proper right, proximal and dorsal sides.

Complete unfinished adze. Plano-convex cross-section with the front flattened. The surface is mostly ground with bruising on the side of the butt. There are grooves in the sides of the butt that distinguish it from the blade. The bevel is smooth and continuous with the blade. The cutting edge is curved and blunt.
