Piece of split bone. Tapered and broken at one end; worked to a straight edge at the other end. One side edge has about 25 notches of various sizes running along it.
Rākau o te riri
Broken mere, butt remaining. The break is between the butt and blade, with sawing marks on the front and back. There is a peroration hole that has been drilled from both sides. The poll is ornamented with five haehae (carved lines) on both sides.

Taoka whakarākei
Bone comb, one out of three teeth has broken off. Slightly concave in cross section. Proximal end is squared off, with decorative notches on each side edge. Sawing marks to create teeth are still evident on the back side.
