Seal jaw bone, some broken teeth remaining in natural position.

Unfinished and broken toggle. Longitudinal fragment remaining. At both ends there are cutting marks where toggle was intended to be cut to shape. Cracked at one side.

Worked seal rib, broken at each end.

Kekeno (fur seal) ulna. Parallel cuts are evident along the length of the bone. The distal end is worn.

Complete bone point, manufactured from hollow bone. Distal end missing tip of point, epiphysis remaining on proximal end.

Cut length of seal bone, epiphysis on one end.

Complete kekeno (fur seal) scapula. Three broken notches are evident on the edge of the bone.

Kekeno (fur seal) radius bone. The distal end is missing 35.6mm of one side.

Complete seal femur. No damage evident.

Complete Patu in very good condition, it is slightly discoloured in some parts. The Patu is long and flat. The Hole at the bottom of the butt has been drilled in from both sides.

complete, everything in place, no Tau. This Patu is in very good condition. On one side it is cracked along the blade, it has a small hole along that crack near the bottom. The crack has been fixed with adhesive. At the butt of the patu there are markings, Reke, that surround the hole for the tau.

Complete hoeroa. Rounded at the distal end, with two small ridges protruding on either side edge in the centre of the shaft. The proximal end is finely carved, with two carved holes, and notched at the proximal end edge. There is a small chip broken off top curve on one side. The overall shape of the hoeroa is bowed.

Worked slab of whale bone, rounded at top and bottom.

Back slightly concave. Sides of blade straight. Proximal (blade) edge rounded and damaged. Shoulders slight. Flattened in cross section. Butt - flattened with left side rounded projection and right side squared projection. Cortex of bone on back. complete, everything in place, no Tau.This Patu is in a relatively good condition, it is although, a bit weathered. The underside is covered with holes due to the natural structure of the bone. There is no hole for the Tau. The top of the blade is slightly chipped.

Partially complete patu paraoa. One side of the butt and small part of an edge of the blade have broken off. Knob on remaining side of butt and then slightly reduced at the handle. Deep centre groove on one side, just below the handle.

Complete patu paraoa (whale bone club). The handle is demarcated by a curved reduction of the blade. There is two curved ornamental reke (grooves) on the grip. A suspension hole is drilled in the handle, with flaking originating at the hole, reducing the back of the handle. There are surface fissures down the extent of the blade.

Whalebone pendant with broken suspension hole at the proximal end. Slightly reduced and flattened at the distal end. Circular cross section.

This Patu is fragmented, it is just a little part of the handle. At the bottom appear to have Reke markings. This fragment is very weathered.

Complete patu paraoa. Knob at the butt, coming to a dull point. Two large bilateral notches and projections where the blade meets the handle. Small incised marks on the inside of the notches.
