Accession information states "Good speciman, with steel-drilled perforation." Spatulate in shape with neck sides slightly concave leading to slightly flare handle. Proximal end of handle lined with 4 broad ridges on each side. Small perforation below ridges - narrow diameter, sides straight, dulled from both sides. Discoloured on one side. Complete patu paraoa with cut out perforation on handle. Butt portion is curved with carved (reke) horizontal grooves. Circular/oval chip makings present over surface of the blade, with ingrained soil/dirt. Both sides of blade have heavy cut/scratch like markings over surface area also.
