Twisted cord attached at head with a nail sticking out of the cord. Some feathers attached to muka at the base. Curved bone point with internal barb.

Broken kahawai lure, iron shank and lashings remaining. Remnants of paua shell inlay and lashings attached to iron shank at head and base. Braided cord attached at head.

Complete metal flounder spear point. The point is bent at a near 90 degree angle on the proximal end. There is a barb at the distal end.

Iron tsuba / sword guard with hirazōgan inlay

Complete iron adze or axe head. Cross-section is rectangular. Cutting edge is sharp and curved with a small chip missing from the proper right side corner. The sides reduce from the cutting edge to the poll end. Poll is further reduced on the proper left side edge of the poll.

Complete patiti with iron axe-head and wooden handle. Surface of the handle is smooth. The butt flares out slightly, with a flattened edge and a straight drilled perforation. Sides of the handle are reduced at the distal end, where the axe-head is attached. Surface of the axe-head is somewhat rusted, with a stamp mark on one side. Blade flares out with a curved, sharp cutting edge.

Complete barracouta lure, no lashing remaining. Wooden shank with nail forming the point. Nail is curved and rusted, coming to a sharp point. The shank is complete, with a lashing groove at the head.

Complete one-piece iron bait hook with wrapped line. The hook has three notches at the bend of the tip. The tip comes to a blunt point. The head of the lure is wrapped in cord. The cord is 35cm long. The top 9cm are woven into a loop.

Curved wooden sealing club. A cylindrical iron piece is attached by four nails on the exterior side of the blade. Handle is tapered, with a groove and another iron piece running through it. Top and bottom are sawn flat. Large crack running the length of the blade on one side.

Complete head of whaling lance. Hollow base where shaft would be inserted, with a perforation on either side. The blade of the lance has a triangular cross-section and tapers to a point at the distal end.
