Complete flute, ends unfinished, and one end chipped. There are two perforations along the top. There are two cracks that run the length of the flute, filled with adhesive. The surface is covered with residue from tape.
Taoka Māori
Broken awl, proximal end and shaft remaining. Distal end is chipped at the tip.
Complete awl, partial epiphysis on the proximal end.
Mostly complete curved fishhook point. Incurved point, with slight break at tip.
Broken bone point, sharp distal end remaining.
Broken straight fishhook point fragment, most remaining except base and tip. Internal barb at tip.
Broken fishhook point fragment, slightly curved, with notches along one side.
Broken straight fishhook point fragment, upper point remaining. Previously broken in two pieces then glued back together.
Broken straight fishhook point fragment. Mostly remaining except for base and part of tip. Hollow on inside. Internal barb on tip. Crack down side from base to tip.
Broken unidentified curved fishhook fragment. Missing tip and base.
Complete curved fishhook point. Small chip at base.
Pacific
Rākau o te riri
Complete kotiate made of wood. Two perforations on sides of blade. Six carved spirals/circles on blade. Face carving on butt with paua shell inlay eyes.
Complete patu paraoa with drilled perforation on handle. Butt end has deteriorated slightly. The shape of the patu differs in that the handle is placed at the side of blade, as opposed to the middle. Patu is weathered showing porous like pattern over surface. Crack is present beginning from point end of blade running vertically up blade roughly at the centre. Underside of blade has discolouring/possibly staining.
Mostly complete patu paraoa; small part of butt not present. Drilled off-centre perforation at butt. Sawing mark running length of blade on one side. Cut mark and two indentations running along other side, one from butt to mid-blade and the other along the length of the blade.
Fragment of patu paraoa, part of blade remaining. Previously broken in two pieces and glued back together. Sawing marks present at one end.
Unfinished toggle. Several cracks from one end. Both ends finished.
Broken curved fishhook point, with all remaining except tip. Notches on external edge of base, and internal barb at tip.
Large curved cloak pin made from bone. Surface has been polished.
