Complete needle. Distal end is sharp. There is a drilled, circular eye at the proximal end.
Broken needle, shaft and tip remaining. Sawn, long eye broken at proximal end.
Complete needle. Distal end is sharp. Drilled, circular eye at proximal end.
Complete awl, manufactured from hollow bone. Distal end is sharp. Epiphysis remaining at proximal end.
Bone point, sharp at both ends. Sides and proximal ends are rough.
Broken point, tip remaining. Distal end is sharp.
Broken point. Fine needle like point projects from the distal end. Broken at the proximal end. Potentially deliberate notch near the proximal end.
Small piece of bone, worked to a dull point. Quadrangular cross section.
One piece fishhook fragment. Tip and base remain, missing the head, shank and knob. Serration at beginning of shank.
Rāranga
Complete kahu huruhuru with black, white and reddish fowl feathers. Feathers are in roughly parallel, but not completely straight, lines. There is some grey wool in the weaving. There is a small tear along the bottom edge. The side is edged with red wool, the left with undyed wool. Manufactured using whatu aho rua technique (two-pair weft-twining). The upper edge is a thick braid.
Rākau o te riri
Incomplete patu paraoa with no perforation. Butt and handle portion are missing from the patu. Surface has substantial cracking, scratching and chipping. Edges of blade also have chipping. Underside of the patu has a deep impression to the side of the blade, as-well as four other major chips primarily to the sides (light portions). Substantial cracking is also present on the underside.
Complete bone point. Partial epiphysis remaining on the proximal end. Distal end reduced to a fine point.
Complete awl. Epiphysis remaining on one end.
Complete bone point, manufactured from hollow bone. Distal end reduced to a fine point.
Hollow seal tooth
Mostly complete shellfish picker or awl. Epiphysis on proximal end, with a short fine needle distal end.
Large seal tooth, split in half.
Fishhook tab, rounded into one-piece shape. Drill marks on one side, workings at top for head of shank.
Mostly complete bone point, chipped at distal end.
