Broken, curved fishhook point with the tip missing

Broken bird spear point, tip remaining. There are four barbs.

Large partially manufactured flute. Severely cracked, some fragments missing. Visible repairs where previously broken. Finished at both ends, no perforations.

Complete curved fishhook point. There are external serrations running from tip to base and there is an internal barb with serrations on it.

Complete kahawai hook. Wooden shank with two knobs at head and large knob at base. White iridescent shell. Curved bone point with internal barb. European-style twisted cord and lashings.

Complete kahawai lure. Curved bone shaft with paua shell inlay. Barbed bone fishhook point lashed to base with muka. Twisted muka cord at head.

Complete taiaha. Human face carved on both sides of the proximal end. Rauru (spiral and notch) pattern carved on protruding tongue. Distal edge of the tongue tapers to a point; sides are flattened. Paua shell inlay is intact in three of four eyes. Cloth padding wrapped around the shaft below the carved faces; narrow strip of black cloth patterned with yellow dots and a larger piece of undecorated brown cloth. Cloth and remnants of bird quills are lashed on using plaited muka fibre. Tufts of white dog hair attached to plaited muka at the base of the shaft. Blade is undecorated and worked smooth, tapering to a slight point at the distal edge.

Complete but unfinished flute. Ends are cut, but not perfectly smoothed. There is a perforation at one end, only partially drilled through. Some hair cracks in surface.

Complete needle. Distal end is sharp. There is a small, circular eye at the proximal end. Thickness reduced at the proximal end.

Complete tokotoko. Mid-brown wood. Carved with two full-length figures and rauponga (ridge and notch) pattern in a variety of directions and styles. Paua shell inlay in eyes and as features of rauponga pattern (three missing). Top figure has a realistic face, with a full moko, holding a patu in one hand. Lower figure has a more stylized, traditional face with slanted eyes and wide mouth. Handle and distal end are uncarved.

Complete fish gorge. Surface is polished. Tapered to a dull point at each end.

Complete straight fishhook point. Small internal barb and external barb. Notch at base on external surface.

Mostly complete shark tooth pendant, broken on one side of the root at the suspension hole. Another complete suspension hole on the other side of the root. Natural serrations on both sides of the tooth to the tip.
