Complete adze. Cross-section is rectangular. The back side has a large rough patch which extends from the butt down to the chin of the blade. There is a smaller patch on the front which extends half-way down the front, on the PR side. Both sides are bruised. No differentiation between butt and blade. Bevel is continuous with blade, blade is sharp and curved, chipped.
Complete adze. Stone. Mid grey, mid red. Cross-section is roughly oval. Surface is mostly ground, bruising and flaking on sides, fragment missing from proper right lower blade. Undifferentiated between butt and blade. Bevel is demarcated by a line, though majority of bevel is missing due to fragment missing. Cutting edge chipped off. Tarewai written on front.
Complete adze. Cross-section is oval. The front side is almost completely ground, except for a small rough patch on the upper PL side, just below the butt. Front side has a thin line which has been ground. This line expands outwards once it meets the chin of the blade. There are two rough patches on either side of this line. No differentiation between butt and blade, sides taper towards poll. Bevel is continuous with blade, blade is blunt and curved, chipped.
Complete adze Asymmetrical cross-section The surface is ground and chipped. There is no differentiation between the butt and the blade. The sides of the blade taper towards the poll. The bevel is continuous. The cutting edge is sharp, straight and chipped.
Complete adze. Stone. Black, and light grey. Cross-section is rectangular. Surface is mostly ground, flaking on proper left of blade. Undifferentiated between butt and blade, sides taper towards poll. Bevel is continuous with blade, cutting edge is sharp and straight. Papatowai is written on back.
Complete adze. Dark brown stone. Surface is bruised. Cross-section is rectangular. Major differentiation between butt and blade, with front reduced to form a ridge; sides taper toward poll. Bevel is continuous with the blade. Cutting edge has been flaked away, particularly on the proper left side. "Anderson's Bay" inscription
