Complete adze Cross-section is circular. Surface is smooth. No differentiation between butt and blade. Bevel is continuous with blade. Blade is sharp and curved.

Complete adze. Asymmetrical at poll, plano-convex with front flattened at back. Surface is ground with heavy flaking and bruising down right side proper and across back Butt has minor differentiation, sides and front have been reduced. Bevel is demarcated by lines running from each corner curved up to an apex in the centre of the blade. Cutting edge is smooth, sharp and slightly rounded with minor chipping.

Broken, (Appears to be missing the proper left side, the proper right side remains pretty much complete, but damaged) very roughly rectangular The surface is ground, but significantly chipped. There appears to be no differentiation between the blade and the butt. The Bevel is curved and slightly concave, and continuous with the blade. The cutting edge appears sharp but the vast majority of it has been chipped away.

Complete chisel Oval The surface is ground with some flakes/chips. The bevel is curved and distinguishable from the blade by a faint ridge. The cutting edge is flat and sharp.

Incomplete greenstone gouge, blade and bevel end only. The cross-section is circular. The surface is ground with some flake scars. The bevel is demarcated by two straight lines that meet in the middle. The cutting edge is curved and chipped.

Unfinished chisel. Greenstone. The cross-section is quadrangular. The surface is mostly ground with bruising at the butt and some flake scars. There is no distinction between the butt. It is unclear which side is the back, as both sides have a rough bevel shape demarcated by an irregular line. The cutting edge is oblique, straight and sharp.

Complete pounamu gouge. The cross section is circular. The surface is ground with flaking on the the poll. The bevel is concave, and demarcated by two diagonal ridges. The cutting edge is straight an sharp.

Complete inanga pounamu pendant. Adze shape. Surface is lightly ground. Discolouration on the lateral margins and edges of front and back. Flaking at proximal end. Suspension hole at proximal end.There is minor differentiation of the butt and blade, with the sides reducing towards the proximal end. Label accompanies pendant. Reads "Found in Maori Midden at Tarea (Granity Creek) near Westport".
