Chert core that is mid brown and light brown in colour. There is a large section of cortex present on one, flatter surface.

Complete adze. Black stone. Cross-section is lenticular. Surface is bruised and flaked. Minor differentiation between the butt and blade; sides slightly tapered toward the poll. Bevel and cutting edge are not present due to flaking. "PapanuiIn." inscription.
