Complete pounamu adze. Cross-section is rectangular. Surface is ground. Differentiation between butt and blade; sides tapered towards the poll, but poll is not present. Bevel is demarcated by a curved line. Cutting edge is curved and sharp with flake missing from centre. "Papanui Inlet" inscription
