Mahi whakairo
Complete adze. The cross section is asymmetrical: the proper left side is trapezoidal with the front narrower then the back, the right is ridged by a saw mark and trapezoidal with the back narrower then the front. The surface is ground. There is a transverse groove on the front approximately at the shoulder which may indicate hafting. The butt is undifferentiated. The bevel is continuous with the blade. The cutting edge is curved and sharp.

Partially manufactured flute. Broken, one end remaining. End unfinished, no perforations. One large crack.
