Complete pounamu pendant in the shape of a bird or fish. Dark and mid-green in colour, highly translucent and chatoyant. Surface is polished. Suspension hole at proximal end indicates animal's eye, drilled from both sides. Proximal end has a large projection on one side edge with three notches below. Other side edge of the proximal end is also notched. Distal edge is oblique, indicating a fin or feathers, with an indentation in the centre.

Complete pounamu/Nephrite hei tiki. Mid-green inanga variety with white inclusions. Westland source. Head turned to left. Serrated paua shell inlaid into eyes. Nostrils, pointed tongue, chin, and forehead indicated. Arms rest on thighs, legs joined with three toes either foot. Perforation drilled front at centre top through scarf cut across rear.
